Ms. Xiomara Colón Rodríguez is an Associate of Nolla, Palou & Casellas, LLC.
Ms. Colón-Rodriguez’ areas of practice include labor and employment law, personal injury, collections, breach of contract, and other civil and commercial litigation matters. She is also experienced in medical malpractice and environmental law issues, and is a registered public notary in Puerto Rico.
She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
Prior to joining Nolla, Palou & Casellas, LLC, Ms. Colón-Rodríguez practiced law for three years with other labor and employment and litigation law offices in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Ms. Colón-Rodríguez obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law, Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan (Río Piedras), and a Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
While in Law School, she was a member of the Law Review, where she co-authored and published at the Revista de Derecho Puertoriquño an article titled “Análisis del Problema de Falta de Especialistas Médicos y Aplicación de la Mancomunidad como Solución Real al Resarcimiento de Daños, 45 Rev. D. P. 47. She was also the recipient of the Leadership Award from the Phi Alfa Delta Fraternity and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Student Chapter of the American Bar Association.
Ms. Colón-Rodríguez is a member of the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the Puerto Rico Bar (Colegio de Abogados de Puerto Rico). She is also fluent in the English and Spanish languages, and she is knowledgeable in Italian (written and verbal).
