Fredeswin Pérez-Caballero is an Associate of Nolla, Palou & Casellas, LLC.

Mr. Perez-Caballero’s practice extends to all employment law matters as well as general civil litigation.  He has also developed a practice regarding the laws of the cooperative sector and credit unions.     

Mr. Pérez-Caballero’s practice has included litigation before local, federal courts and administrative forums in cases of sexual harassment, disability discrimination, among other forms of discrimination, retaliation, contract disputes, wages and hours, damages, collection of monies, among others.   

He is also a registered public notary in Puerto Rico with experience in representing lenders and investors in real property transactions and the drafting, recordation and cancellation of liens in connection thereof, as well as all aspects of general public notary practice.

Mr. Pérez-Caballero is admitted to practice before the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Supreme Court.  He is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association and the American Bar Association, Sections of Labor and Employment Law and Litigation.

He has argued several times before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals of Puerto Rico as well as the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and won cases at all levels, including litigation through summary disposition, trial and appeal.

Some of his published opinions are: Aristud-Gonzalez v. Gov't Dev. Bank, 2007 U.S. App. LEXIS 20975; Nieves-Luciano v. Hernandez-Torres, 397 F.3d 1 (1 Cir. 2005); Cardona-Martinez v. Rodriguez-Quinones, 444 F.3d 25 (1 Cir 2006); and Cepero-Rivera v. Fagundo, 414 F.3d 124 (1 Cir 2005).

Prior to joining Nolla, Palou & Casellas, LLC, Mr. Pérez–Caballero represented plaintiffs in employment discrimination cases and general civil litigation with the Hernández-Sánchez Law Firm.  He also counseled management in employment law matters and practiced cooperative and general civil law with the JurisCoop Law Firm, where he was a Partner.  At JurisCoop he was also engaged by credit unions in connection with lending and real estate transactions and collections.  Mr. Pérez-Caballero solely represents and counsels management in employment law matters since joining Nolla, Palou & Casellas, LLC.

Mr. Pérez-Caballero obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras in 1997 and a Juris Doctor Degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2000.
